1. About Baobab
Baobab is an independently developed Discord server bot and website. The website is currently a pre-launch information page with an optional Discord subscription feature. Other features may change, be interrupted or be discontinued.
2. Eligibility and Discord
To use Discord-connected features you must have a Discord account, follow Discord's Terms of Service and meet the applicable minimum age requirements. Baobab does not replace Discord's rules or safety mechanisms.
3. Subscribing to launch updates
“Subscribe with Discord” grants Baobab access to your basic Discord identity via the identify scope. By subscribing, you request a launch-announcement DM from Baobab. This is voluntary and free. It does not add the bot to a server, create a paid membership, or authorize additional Discord permissions. You may unsubscribe at any time.
4. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to exploit, overload, interfere with, bypass access restrictions on, or access other users' data through the website, bot, or APIs. Do not use Baobab for harassment, spam, or activity that violates applicable law or Discord's rules.
5. Server and staff features
Server and staff analytics are informational tools. Counts can be delayed or incomplete, including when Discord does not expose an action to the bot. Moderation decisions and appeal outcomes remain the responsibility of the server's authorized staff, not an automated guarantee from Baobab. Access to restricted features may be removed to protect the community.
6. Availability and changes
Baobab is provided on an “as available” basis. During development and maintenance, features may be unavailable or change without advance notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, delivery of every launch DM, or the accuracy of every statistic.
7. Intellectual property
Baobab's original branding and website design remain with their respective creators. Discord and other names or marks belong to their respective owners. These Terms do not grant you rights to reuse protected branding.
8. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what Discord identifiers and other records Baobab processes, why, where they are stored and how to request deletion.
9. Contact and updates
For support, questions about these Terms, or privacy requests, contact the Baobab server owner or an authorized staff member through the Discord community. Before public release, a dedicated contact channel should be published. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new revision date.
